Moodle 4.0+ supports LTI 1.3 natively. Earlier versions need the moodle-mod_lti plugin updated.

Open the LTI tool management screen

  1. Site administration → Plugins → Activity modules → External tool → Manage tools.

Add UniRubric via tool config URL

  1. Paste https://app.unirubric.com/lti/tool-config.json into the Tool URL field.
  2. Click + (add).

Activate the tool

  1. On the configured tools list, click Activate next to UniRubric.
  2. Moodle issues a Client ID; record it for your support contact.

Enable LTI services per tool

  1. Edit the tool → Services tab.
  2. Set IMS LTI Assignment and Grade Services to Use this service for grade sync and column management.
  3. Set IMS LTI Names and Role Provisioning to Use this service to retrieve members' information as per privacy settings.

Attach to a course

  1. Course → Add an activity → External tool → preconfigured tool → UniRubric.
  2. Save and return.

Verify

  1. Run the LTI handshake check at /developers/quickstart while signed in to your UniRubric admin sandbox.
